About Bindi and the CDDAP

Bindi Enterprises is proud to announce that this September will be the inaugural prize for excellence in Digital Media: The Central Desert Digital Arts Prize.

With a prize of $3000 for the winning work, this all-abilities art prize will showcase the artistic talent of those in and around Mparntwe/Alice Springs and invite national artists to share their talent with our community.

Bindi Enterprises is known for supporting creative excellence without limits. A Social Enterprise, Bindi has been providing services to people living with disability in the Central Desert since 1978.

• $3,000.00 non-acquisitive selected art prize
• Entry forms available online only
• Entries open: 1st June 2023
• Entries close: 31st July 2023
• Selected artists notified: 15 August 2023
• Exhibition opens/winner announced: 23 September 2023
• Exhibition closes: 8 October 2023
• Exhibition dates: 24 September to 8 October at RAFT Artspace, Mparntwe/Alice Springs NT

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Eligibility

• Australian residents of all abilities are eligible to enter
• $25.00 entry fee for each artwork
• Artists may submit up to 2 entries
• The entry must be an original artwork completed within 12 months prior to the closing date
• The selection process will be undertaken by a panel of arts professionals. The selection panels decisions are final.
• Artists are responsible for transport of their artwork, delivery and collection

Artwork

• Artwork must be digital ie: film/audio visual or photographic
• Work must have been completed in the previous 12 months at the time of submitting the entry
• The work must not exceed 1.5 x 1 metres

If your work is being delivered and collected by a courier, it is the responsibility of the Artist to arrange for the cost of artwork transport and to book both delivery and collection with the courier. It is not the responsibility of Bindi Enterprises to return artworks to Artists. Artists are responsible for insuring their artworks if required.

• Any installation instructions and/or images if necessary
• Any specific installation materials or fittings required
• Packing instructions and materials
• Artwork delivery and collection details

Bindi Enterprises will endeavour to display the artwork as instructed.

The Central Desert Digital Art Prize is a selling exhibition. Sale enquiries will be directed to the Artist or Artists Representative.

Artists are responsible for their own insurance for freight and whilst the exhibition is on display if required.

Artists will retain copyright ownership of the submitted artwork image(s). Artists will be asked to sign a release statement to reproduce their work for marketing and promotional purposes and a non-commercial digital catalogue.
