The National Disability Insurance Scheme has been designed to give people with disability greater control and choice over the support they receive. The NDIS provides individuals with funding packages based on their personal needs and goals.
If you are under the age of 65 with a permanent and significant disability you can now be provided with the reasonable and necessary supports you need to live an ordinary life. The NDIS provides choice and gives you greater power to determine your own services and direction.
