Fabian
Miller

Artist Profile

Miller is a First Nations artist who began attending Bindi’s Digital Arts Program in 2022 where his passion for the boundless potential of digital drawing was ignited. Miller was quick to form a strong abstract visual language, using gestural motion, texture, and colour to breathe life-force into the artworks on his pixel canvases.

Prolific and spiritually charged, Miller’s practice has mostly explored the abstract where his mark-making is decisive and deliberate. Recently he has been using the photographic collage capabilities of Procreate to apply his colour sensitivities to images of himself with his friends, who he cherishes deeply.

Fabian Miller has been involved in various art projects within Mparntwe/Alice Springs for many years. He has been collaborating with Incite Arts since 2016 and is a member of the ‘Starts With D’ ensemble with his fellow artists and friends. In 2023, he was the first recipient of the Central Desert Digital Art Prize.

“Fabian’s works show how expressive the digital medium can be. They are full of gesture and movement, with a clear and deliberate understanding of harmony, balance and colour palette. His work openly invites the viewer into his inner world.”
