Bindi’s premises in Alice Springs contains a well-equipped workshop that has operated for many years to manufacture the legendary ‘Bindi Tuckerbox’, serving platters and chopping boards, and a range of garden furniture and other wooden products.

Bindi offers supported employment to NDIS participants interested in developing skills in woodwork, carpentry, teamwork and social enterprise development.

Employees are supported and encouraged to develop skills in a range of production processes, learning use of tools, safety procedures, material properties and working to briefs. Amongst commercial agreements, the workshop upcycles timber to create a unique range of hand-crafted timber products, including their famous tucker boxes.
